Walter Liedtke, curator of northern baroque art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, will talk about the difficulty in untangling the attribution of works to Rembrandt and his followers, many of who worked in a style that closely imitated the master's. As Liedtke demonstrates, a number of important works once thought to be by Rembrandt have now been successfully reattributed to Jan Lievens.
