Historian Mike Dash, author of the best-selling book Tulipomania: The Story of the World's Most Coveted Flower and the Extraordinary Passions It Aroused, will discuss his book, which tells the story of the tulip from its origins on the Turkish steppes to its important role as the subject of financial folly in seventeenth-century Holland. Mike Dash is a Cambridge-educated writer and magazine publisher, who has written articles for The Guardian, The Daily Mail, and The Fortean Times, as well as six books.
