Art in Bloom

April 10–13, 2008
Quadracci Pavilion and Collection Galleries

Join us for the Milwaukee Art Museum's tribute to art and fresh flowers, presented by the Garden Club of the Milwaukee Art Museum. Over thirty lavish bouquets created by top floral designers in the Milwaukee area will be placed next to the works of art selected from the Museum's Collection that inspired the eye-catching arrangements. Along with the fragrant splash of color in the galleries, Windhover Hall, the Museum's main reception hall, will be transformed with a grand floral display and Café Calatrava Garden Room, featuring floral-infused soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.

Included in Art in Bloom will be guest appearances by celebrity floral designers Ron Morgan, author of four books on gardening and window designer for Harrods; Tracy DiSabato-Aust, aka "the Queen of Deadheading"; and Elvin McDonald, international editor for Better Homes and Gardens magazine, among others. Remember to save time to take part in workshops focused on gardening, floral arranging, and environmentally friendly practices, from rain gardens to planting native flowers. Art in Bloom will also feature a raffle of work by plein air artists on location and the chance to pick up something wonderful for your home or garden at our indoor marketplace!
