Art Aloud, provided in cooperation with the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Milwaukee Public Library, is a free program for children ages 5–12. Inspired by great books, children will learn techniques used by famous artists. Each week children will work with the artist-in-residence to create original works of art. A free field trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum is included in the program. Art Aloud is funded by Harley-Davidson Foundation, Inc. and the Faye McBeath Foundation.
Pre-registration is required. Register after September 15 in person or by calling the children’s Librarian at the library of your choice. Parent participation is encouraged and recommended for children ages 7 and under.
