Girl Scout Discovery Sundays

Girl Scout Discovery Sundays – Art in 3D The Girl Scout Discovery Sundays program for Junior Girl Scouts has been so successful in the past two years that we have scheduled four dates for the 2007 – 2008 school year. Designed to help fulfill their Art in 3D badge requirements, Girl Scout Discovery Sundays focus on Alexander Calder and sculpture. The day begins with a viewing of the film Calder's Circus followed by a discovery search for sculptures in the Museum galleries guided by Art Museum teachers. Girls then move on to the studio to create wire sculptures and mobiles. Troop leaders receive a supplementary packet filled with creative ideas and resources for completing the remaining requirements for the badge.

Fee: $12 per Girl Scout
$8 per adult
