Extend your MSO experience with a docent-guided tour of works of art that relate to the themes of each Concert for Schools. Book early; space is limited.

Youth Series Concerts: Revolutions (Grades 3–8)


American Landscapes Concert dates: October 9 and 10, 2012 at 10:30 AM and 12 PM
Museum tour: American History through Art & Folk Art

Discover the patriotic spirit of American History captured through art. The portrait of America continues in paintings and sculptures of the Michael and Julie Hall American Folk Art Collection.

Landscapes in Motion Concert dates: February 12 and 13, 2013 at 10:30 AM and 12 PM
Museum tour: Highlights

The celebration of dance incorporates highlights from the Milwaukee Art Museum Collection with an emphasis on motion and movement. Students are invited to strike a pose modeling their favorite art object!

Imaginary Landscapes Concert dates: May 15 and 16, 2013 at 10:30 AM and 12 PM
Museum tour: Modern and Contemporary Art

Docent guides escort students in comparing and contrasting both Modern and Contemporary Art from the mid 1860’s to present day. Students consider how an artists’ imagination and world influenced their work.
