Milwaukee Art Museum Passport: World Communities
Grades 1-3
Travel through the Milwaukee Art Museum with your Museum Passport! After four visits to the Museum, students will have learned about four continents and eight countries through works of art, storybooks, and hands-on art making. The program provides students with an opportunity to learn about various world cultures while collecting stickers of each work of art and stamps for each continent and country.
This 2½-hour docent-guided program is developed for school groups of 15 to 60, maximum. Choose a different continent—Africa, Asia, Europe, or North America—to explore during each of your school’s four visits to complete the whole Milwaukee Art Museum Passport: World Communities program. Each visit includes the exploration of two representative countries with related storybooks and one culturally inspired hands-on art project.
This program is available to your students Tuesday through Friday, except Thursday morning. The special program fee is $7 per student per visit, which includes Museum admission. Complete the program this year, or spread your four visits out over several school years.
Download and print the passport for the Milwaukee Art Museum Passport: World Communities program. Make copies for your students to bring with them on each visit so they can collect the stickers and stamps in their passports.
