ArtXpress is a project that brings together a diverse group of Milwaukee teens to create a public work of art to address issues in the community in a positive way. This four-week paid summer internship program integrates a variety of skills – learning about city resources, conducting research and interviews, basic job skills, art making techniques and cooperation on a group project. The program culminates with a mural that is exhibited on the side of a Milwaukee County Transit System bus for a year following completion.
ArtXpress is funded by the Mary L. Nohl Fund of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.
