Celebrate Independence Day at the Museum

Pay a visit to Uncle Sam (as a mailbox!), experience nine independent artistic styles in the American Originals exhibitions, discover what colors you can make with red, white, and blue in the hands-on Kohl’s Art Generation Gallery—enjoy exploring all there is to see at the Museum with family and friends.
Kohl’s Color Wheels at Summerfest

The Museum’s mobile art creation station will be parked on the Summerfest grounds every day of the festival offering fun art activities for kids! Activities change daily; make bottle cap jewelry, splatter drawings, animal sculptures, and more. All activities are free with admission to the festival. Visit mam.org/artgeneration for more details.

Kick off the summer season by exploring the great outdoors in works of art! From open fields of multi-colored grasses to hustling bustling city streets, and tugboats bouncing on choppy waves, visit new places through paintings and drawings in The Eight and American Modernisms, and then create artistic scapes of your own! The group meets at the Museum’s admissions desks; free with admission.
