See screenings of Handmade Nation: The Rise of DIY, Art, Craft, and Design, bookending a talk and book signing with local filmmaker Faythe Levine; purchase your copy at the Museum Store, open until 10 PM. Hear Milwaukee’s The Championship, outdoors on the Museum Terrace, and Jordan Lee (aka DJ Madhatter) of 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, inside on the marble. Make your own wallets, handbags, and more at an expanded version of the ever-popular art creation station.
Also on view American Furniture / Googled, an experimental installation on view in the Decorative Arts Gallery, where traditional object labels are replaced by digital screens that capture what an array of institutions and individuals have to say about eleven examples of Victorian-era furniture.
