Bring the whole family to the Museum every Sunday and stop by the Kohl’s Art Generation Studio to explore different art materials and techniques. September features the theme of Museum Curiosities connected to some of your favorite artworks. Discover the curiosities hidden around the Museum, from a menagerie of carbonized animals to cabinet drawers that talk. Stop by the studio every Sunday this month and make your own mysterious, magical, and magnificently curious work of art! All ages welcome. No experience necessary.
Art Packs
Thurs, 5–8 pm;
Sat & Sun, 10 am–4 pm
The Museum’s unique art packs are free, self-guided games that keep the whole family looking, laughing, and discovering great works of art throughout the Collection. Kids are encouraged to make color connections with devices found in each pocket of the “Color Tool Belt,” tease their brains and test their eyes in the pursuit of art history with the “Art Card Pack,” see works of art as never before when they try out the “Drawing Activity Cards,” or don a costume inspired by a work in the Collection.
