See details Lecture: Renoir’s Bathers
THURS, OCT 27, 6:15 PM
A trip to Italy in 1881–82 renewed Renoir’s interest in the human figure. Discover more about Renoir and his bathers, with Jennifer Thompson from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Among Renoir’s bathers in the Impressionism: Masterworks on Paper exhibition is Bathers with Crab, a painting on loan from the Carnegie Museum of Art, thanks to the Green Bay Packers winning Super Bowl XLV.
