Bearing the namesake of the world-renowned architect of the Quadracci Pavilion, the café reflects Santiago Calatrava’s creativity, quality, and design in everything from the presentation to its delectable cuisine.
The café dining room faces lakeside, with floor to ceiling windows offering spectacular views. An ever-changing menu of contemporary cuisine, including kid-friendly selections, offers a variety of options to satisfy every guest. The café is also equipped to serve buffets and box lunches for tour groups, as well as full-service catering for on-site dinner parties and events. In the spring and summer, the café extends service to its lakefront terrace for dining al fresco.
The menu is always fresh and regularly updated with entrees inspired by the feature exhibition on view. Daily specials are always intriguing and reflect originality, seasonal ingredients and talents of Chef de Cuisine and his staff.
Chef de Cuisine
Chef Hatleli credits his ten years at Sanford, named the number seven restaurant in the United States by the restaurant guide Zagat survey, for providing him with the necessary skills to undertake the Chef de Cusine position at the Milwaukee Art museum.
Chef Hatleli has been a staple in Milwaukee's dining scene since graduating from culinary school in 1994. He has been executive chef at many of Milwaukee's finest restaurants and is excited to bring his passion and knowledge to the Milwaukee Art Museum.
