Group tours

The Milwaukee Art Museum is an intriguing destination for group outings. Tuesday–Sunday, skilled docents lead tours for groups of 15 or more. Reservations should be made 6–8 weeks in advance.

Includes Museum admission, self-guided touring, and 10% discount in the Museum Store.

Docent-Guided Tour
$10 Adult/$5 College (plus $25 fee for each docent)
Includes Museum admission, one docent for every 15 visitors, and 10% discount in the Museum Store.
Six-week advance booking required

Adult Lunch-and-Learn Guided Tours
$24 Adult
Includes Museum admission, one docent for every 15 visitors or use of audio guides, boxed lunch, and 10% discount in the Museum Store.

*Please note: All other coupons, vouchers, free Museum days, and Museum memberships or promotions do not apply to group admission rates. Rates are subject to change; book early to get the best rates for 2013. Group visits will not be accommodated on the following days: Sept 6, Oct 4, Nov 1, and Dec 6, 2012, or the first Thursday of every month in 2013, due to high traffic volume.

Tour topics

• The Feature Exhibition Tour explores the works of art in the Museum’s current feature exhibition.
• The Collection Highlights Tour takes an art historian’s perspective, touring the Museum’s Collection from the art of ancient Egypt to contemporary painting and sculpture.
• The Architecture Tour looks at the historic architecture of the Museum itself, examining the buildings designed by Eero Saarinen, David Kahler, and Santiago Calatrava.
• Specialty Collection Tour focuses on one of the Museum’s internationally renowned core collections: Haitian art, American Folk art, French art, or German art.
